Paraiso is a series of drawings suggesting a particular vision of paradise, understood as one of the original notions of neo-capitalist system. Featuring a multitude of characters, Paradise tells several stories simultaneously, In this crowd, figures of resistance and hope emerged against and beyond the fence, designed as a reference to the wall separating Spain and Morocco, and a symbol of exclusivity and exclusion.
The first drawing of the series, also named Paraiso, is showing at Manif d'Art, the Biennial of Quebec, from February to May 2017. The rest of the series will be completed after on-site research in Spain during spring-summer 2017. These drawings have been created through conversations, readings and on-site observation.
